  The Scottish American Women's Society (SAWS) of Washington, D.C., is an organization of American women of Scottish birth or lineage dedicated to perpetuating Scottish and Scottish-American culture and to encouraging good fellowship among its members.

With initial funding from its brother lineage organization the St. Andrewís Society of Washington, D.C., SAWS will be recruiting members at this yearís Virginia Scottish Games at Great Meadow in The Plains, Virginia, on Saturday and Sunday, September 2 and 3, 2017.

Future projects include co-hosting Scottish-American events, encouraging a love of Scottish culture among youth, and launching various charitable activities.
